Earlier in the season, Liverpool bulldozed through Palace cruising to a 9-0 win.
Despite undoubtedly having this in the back of their minds, Palace matched their opponents for the whole of the game, never giving up on the prospect of a day out at Wembley in the FA cup final for the victor.
Liverpool had been firm favourites, but on the day, either team could have progressed to the final in what was one of the finest ever FA cup clashes, and Palace's extra time winner sent their sea of fans behind the goal into hysterics, as the form guide went out of the window.

March 4th 2007 saw a memorable encounter at Upton Park between the Hammers and Spurs. This action packed game could have gone either way untill the 95th minute when Paul Stalteri scored a dramatic late winner that looked to have relegated West Ham.
This game boasted quality free kicks from both Berbatov and Tevez, who would eventually go on to become team mates at Manchester United.

Manchester United 4-3 Manchester City (2009/10 Premier League)

It was Michael Owen's 94th minute winner which sealed victory for United in what was one of the greatest Manchester derbies of all time. Three times City pegged United back, and after Bellamy's 91st minute equaliser they must have believed they'd done enough to salvage a point.

But thats the thing about Manchester United, they play 'til the final whistle.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-5 Manchester United (2001/02 Premier League)

The Reds made the trip to White Hart Lane in September 2001 level on points with Arsenal and Leeds at the top of the Premier League. Notoriously slow starters, Spurs had won just two of their first seven and were lying tenth.

Despite this, Spurs cruised into a 3-0 first half lead, with goals from Richards, Ferdinand and Christian Ziege, and looked on course to upset the United applecart.

However, United came out in the second half a different side, and the rest, as they say, is history.

SPL RECORD SCORELINE, 12 GOAL THRILLER:

Hibernian led 6-2 at Fir Park in May 2010, with most Motherwell fans leaving the stadium in disgust at the sight of Hibs' 5th and 6th goals.

The game finished 6-6, after a 90+ minute equaliser for Motherwell which Marco Van Basten would have been proud of. This even after they had missed a penalty at 6-5. A genuinely shocking comeback!

The Andrei Arshavin show saw the little Russian show exactly why Wenger paid the money for him by crashing in 4 eurphoric goals in what was possibly the most enthralling and topsy-turvy league game of the 2008-09 season.

Liverpool however, not to be outdone, produced 4 goals of their own, with the lead switching between both sides throughout the game. Fantastic stuff for the neutral, nail biting for a fan of either side, this has to go down as one of the many classic encounters in the English Premier League. Kevin Keegans 'Entertainers' set about getting revenge over Manchester United for pipping them to the title the previous year, and for their 4-0 humiliation in the Charity Shield at Wembley at the beginning of the season.

Keegan's side had talked the talk, but now it was time for them to prove to United that they were genuine title contenders. Following Shearer's world record £15million move from Blackburn in the summer, the strike force Ferdinand, Beardsley and Shearer was one to be feared, and this footage shows why.
